status as of 10th mar

Last night we coded in the latest questionnaires from the field - 8 of them. Now the total entries in the database is 406 farms. We are just waiting now for the remaining 4-6 more but permissions take time to come. In the meantime, the database is sent to UoS as new entries are added, and anonymous copies are posted on the project extranet.

All field staff are back to the office and working on various assignments, such as questionnaire cleaning, photo database checking, completing metadata of contacts, preparing for upcoming meeting, in-depth surveys and state of the system workshop.

As of now there are 398 questionnaires already in from the field, with 8  more coming tomorrow. Interviews have been conducted among 200 tilapia and 206 shrimp farmers in selected areas in Thailand. The 398 have been entered in priority tables in the access database, while the other remaining tables are being filled in now. We are still trying to get permissions from 4-6 more shrimp farms to interview. In the meantime, many things are going on in the office such as, but not limited to, questionnaire cleaning, database entry, metadata entry, photo database, preparing for pre-in-depth survey meeting and SOS workshop, assisting students in their research (includes not only administration but also technical input and content from our previous experiences and field reports, etc.), reporting, preparing for in-depth surveys, project management.
